A novena is a prayer that is repeated repeatedly for nine days or weeks, or a multiple of nine. In Latin, “novem” means “nine.”
The Surrender Novena, composed by God’s servant Don Dolindo Ruotolo, is “a powerful prayer that invites us to let go and surrender everything to Jesus,” said Ashley Lenz, content manager for the Christian prayer app Hallow , headquartered in Chicago. , told Fox News Digital.
Surrendering to God’s will “can be scary,” Lenz said. Humans “are creatures who like to be in control of their lives – or, at least, who like to pretend that we are in control of their lives.”
