Jackie Hill Perry, author, speaker and poet who has inspired millions with her story of leaving a gay lifestyle and finding true fulfillment in Jesus, issued a warning Earlier this year, Satan attempted to destroy “an entire generation of Christians through witchcraft.”
Perry, who is coming out with a new book, “Waking up: 60 daily reflections to discover ourselves and the God for whom we were made“, made the comments in January, during Passion 2023, warning against people who increasingly indulge in “witchcraft”, and noting that the problem deeply affects young Christians.
“The enemy is trying to destroy an entire generation of Christians through witchcraft,” Perry says. said. “He wants us to consider alternative sources of power for joy, for peace (and) for a righteous spirit.”
The author reflected on these comments in a recent interview with CBN Digital, explaining why she thinks the Church sometimes neglects to address the spiritual warfare we see detailed in Ephesians 6 – and why she addressed the issue with so much audacity from the stage of the Passion.
Watch what Perry had to say:
“Witches are bold,” Perry said. “Witches are very vocal and bold about their rituals, their altars, and the means by which they can access the spirit realm independent of Jesus, aren’t they?
Perry continued: “And you have an entire generation that is on TikTok and being introduced to these powers and this ability to find strength, to find peace, to find some sort of control over their lives, over their minds and even on others thanks to the supernatural. means.”
But she warned against such lawsuits and said it was essential for Christians to speak out on the issue out of love and concern for others.
“We have to take into account that people believe there is power and other dimensions outside of Jesus himself,” Perry said. “But Jesus came and said you cannot worship the Father, you cannot have access to God unless you do it in the spirit, by the power of the spirit and in truth, according to the Word of God. ”

Ultimately, Perry said failing to discuss these issues means we are “leaving a lot of people lost,” and she implored Christians not to fear Satan.
“We can’t be afraid of the devil,” she said. “He is defeated, but we also cannot be so rational as to think that it is all a matter of logic and not a spiritual reality at play.”
Perry said the devil is “cunning” and believers can often come to falsely believe that what happens in churches is entirely “flesh and blood” when in fact spiritual matters could be stake.
The author addressed these issues while promoting “Waking up: 60 daily reflections to discover ourselves and the God for whom we were made”, a collection of 60 daily scripture reflections to “help you awaken to the God you were made for, the life you were made for, and the person you were made to be.”
