TToday, Heather shares a devotional reminder that will encourage you no matter what season of waiting you may find yourself in. There is often a waiting period between an anointing and an appointment, that is, between being selected for a mission and the act of officially entering into this new role. David’s wait lasted almost 15 years. If you’re experiencing what feels like a false start, today’s episode will encourage you.
Today’s scriptures can be found at 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 and will be read using the Christian Standard Bible:
“Don’t you know that all the runners in a stadium run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way to win the prize. Now everyone who participates in competitions exercises self-control in everything. They do it to receive a perishable crown, but we an imperishable crown. So I don’t run like someone who runs aimlessly or box like someone who punches the air. Instead, I discipline my body and put it under strict control, so that after preaching to others, I myself will not be disqualified.
Heather will be offering a meditation like this every Monday for the rest of 2023.
