In today’s episode, Heather visits researcher and licensed social worker Holly Oxhandler to discuss Holly’s latest book, The soul of the wizard, in which she encourages caregivers and caregivers (professional and non-professional) to recognize their need for calm, rest and spiritual renewal. Holly says aides are prone to trying to do everything and are likely to suffer from burnout. She identifies seven steps that can help us see the sacred in ourselves, and once we can see the sacred in ourselves, we can better see it in others.
Heather is also back with our new January segment called Friends in the kitchen, featuring a famous chef Danielle Kartes. You may recognize Danielle from her regular appearances on The Kelly Clarkson Show. Food and foodies are popular topics among Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube creators and influencers, so get ready to take notes. 1 medium yellow onion, diced
1 tablespoon of paprika
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
Salt and pepper to taste5 cloves of garlic, chopped
4 to 6 soft, taco-sized flour tortillas
