WESTFIELD — In the grip of an alcohol addiction, Father John Tuohey could no longer recognize himself in the mirror.
“I didn’t recognize myself anymore because of my drinking, and then there was a disconnect because you know who you are but you don’t act like you are,” he said.
The Catholic priest and Westfield native released a book this year titled “Striving to Be Perfect as the Heavenly Father is Perfect,” about recovery, morality and “Christian maturity.”
