A new “pride bible” has sparked fury from Christians who claim the “twisted” interpretation of the holy book is “ridiculous”.
The Modern Standard Version: Holy Bible Pride Edition was criticized by Christians online after its release.
According to the publishers, the book is the world’s first “affirmative and inclusive” Bible that presents the Old and New Testaments.
A preview of the book states that: “Anglo-Saxon words such as sin and Hell (which are not Hebrew or Greek words) have been replaced on a case-by-case basis with the appropriate English words.
The Pride Bible received a star on the website of the American bookseller Barnes and Noble.

“Additionally, there were six scriptures known as the ‘despicable scriptures’ that were used to hate, condemn and exclude the LGBTQ community.
“These six passages have nothing to do with homosexuality. Yet the reason they claim to do these things is because they say they hate ‘sin.’ The sin they hate is homosexuals!”
The book has sparked negative reactions from some Christians who accuse the publishers of “cherry-picking” teachings.
One person wrote: “First of all, these authors have no business offering an interpretation of the Bible if they are not Christians themselves.
“They want to make Christianity what THEY think it should be and choose which teachings to follow. These authors are exactly the kind of people St. Paul warned us about in 2 Timothy 4:3-4.”
Another said: “There is nothing sacred about twisting the scriptures to fit your sinful lifestyle. It’s disgusting. »
A third added: “If you love nothing more than obfuscating the truth, rewriting scripture, and ultimately doing the devil’s work, then buy this ‘Bible’.”
The Pride Bible received a one-star rating on the American bookseller Barnes and Noble’s website.
Earlier this year, a Christian man was arrested in Pennsylvania at a “Pride” event for reading aloud from the Bible.
The man reportedly stood near the parade and began reading 1 Corinthians 14:33, a verse that speaks of peace.
However, police confirmed that the man was not charged for reading the Bible verses.
“He was not arrested for reading a Bible verse. He was arrested for disturbing the peace. His volume was at such a level that he was heckling a planned and authorized event. He was given an area “in which he was allowed to demonstrate and was asked to keep the volume at a level that did not pose a problem or cause disruption to the public,” the officer told Newsweek.
